Si, c'è disaccordo.

Per non parlare poi degli effetti collaterali:
Single oral doses of EGCG up to 1600 mg were safe and very well tolerated

Secondo il primo studio:
Green tea toxicity, usually Grade 1 or 2, occurred in 69% of patients and included nausea, emesis, insomnia, fatigue, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and confusion. However, six episodes of Grade 3 toxicity and one episode of Grade 4 toxicity also occurred, with the latter manifesting as severe confusion

E poi come fa un grammo di té a contenere 100 calorie e 46 mg di caffeina?:
Patients were instructed to take 6 grams of green tea per day orally in 6 divided doses. Each dose contained 100 calories and 46 mg of caffeine

Si ho pensato anch'io alle piccole calorie. Evidentemente in qualche caso vengono ancora usate...

Anche vero quel che dici che può darsi che sia qualche altro componente a dare tossicità ad elevate concentrazioni.[;)]

Comunque le altre cose continuano a non tornare...

Green tea has been recognized as an excellent herb for many health problems including cholesterol. Whether you are used to during green tea constantly nor not, here is a recommended way of drinking green tea. Buy a high grade green tea leaves or powdered green tea. Put a scant table spoon green tea leaves in a tea cup, and pour hot water that 85 C or F. Do not use boiling water. After leaving the tea a few minutes, drink. If the green tea is tender, eat all the leaves. If the leaves are in high quality, the leaves should be tender and delicious. Eating leaves is helpful, because tea only contains one third of the effective material from the tea leaves but two thirds are still in the leaves. If you do this, only 3 cups per day are enough. (Caution: Do not drink tea in the evening because caffeine in tea may prevent you from sleeping.) http://www.blenderculture.com/article~greentea.htm http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag99/june99-report3.html K.
