We hereby like to inform you with the most recent information concerning our treatments on Aruba,a sunny island in the Caribbean.The main aim of the GHO method of hair transplantation, Follicular Multiplication, is to determine the minimum amount of tissue required around the hair follicle in order to result in normal hair growth. In fundamental studies, we discovered two areas in the hair follicle containing stem cells. Both of these can promote hair growth. It is not necessary to have both stem cells populations in order to induce normal hair growth. We can conclude that two hairs can grow from one hair follicle.If a small part of the hair follicle is left behind in the donor area, a new hair can grow from it, even if the most of the hair follicle has been removed. The part that has been removed will also produce hair if placed in the recipient area. One hair follicle can therefore produce two hairs. Follicular Multiplication is a modern technique used to restore hair growth on bald or thinning areas. The most common application of Follicular Multiplication is to treat Androgenetic Alopecia, in men and women. Scar tissue resulting from causes such as an accident or previous conventional hair transplantations may also be transplanted. In some circumstances eyebrows can also be transplanted.Since last year there is a successful relationship between Maastricht and Aruba. We performed several treatments on Aruba during August and December 2003. This was very successful. So April the 26th GHO Xxxxxx Aruba Freezone N.V. is officially opening her doors. Dr. Nuris Lampe, a well-known experienced dermatologist, will head the team on Aruba. Dr. Lampe graduated on Central University of Venezuela in 1989 and received the Title of Medical Surgeon. Several years she worked as a medical doctor on Aruba and Mexico. In 1998 she graduated in Mexico, in Dermato-Oncology and Dermatological surgery. Since 1998 Dr. Lampe is working as dermatologist and dermalogical surgeon in her own Xxxxxx on Aruba. In the past Dr. Lampe has done a lot of conventionel hairtransplants. Our other medical doctor is an experienced vascular surgeon.
