As the symptoms identified by the loss of hair in the pilose regions of the body, especially the head, many sorts are known, such as androgenic alopecia, alopecia areata, and alopecia seborrhecia. In this example, however, the hair grower containing as a major component d-limonene, which is the 5alpha-reductase inhibitor according to the present invention, was applied to the scalp of dozens of persons irrespective of the sort of alopecia. The results are shown in the following tables.

58 men: excellant: 5 (8.6%); effective: 32 (55.2%); ineffective: 21 (36.2%).
22 women: excellant: 10 (45.5%); effective: 5 (22.7%); ineffective: 7 (31.8%).
80 people total: excellant: 15 (18.8%); effective: 37 (46.3%); ineffective: 28 (35.0%).

Excellant (or shortened form their excellently effective): Meant that hair grew in hairless areas following application.
Effective: New hair grew in the area larger than two third of hairless areas following application.
Ineffective (or not effective): no improvement after application.

The researchers also subjected the d-limonene material to direct 5alpha-reductase inhibiting tests, and found it worked quite strongly.

ciao boldi sopra si parla di oxandrolone uno steroide..a che pro?ha per caso un potere inibitorio sulla 5alfa reduttasi?inoltre vien fatto un paragone con il d-limonene?

Una delle mie prime lozioni a metà degli anni '80 era a base di estratti di arancia e mandarino. Devo dire che mi ero trovato bene, ma non avendo un aga galoppante non è che vedessi molto se non mantenimento e migliore stato dei capelli.

Di recente ho usato olii essenziali che sicuramente contenenvano limonene, una sostanza che è anche irritante e infatti ricordo di aver avuto delle irritazioni allo scalpo. Anche in quel periodo solito mantenimento. Direi in linea con i dati di cui sopra.

in effetti marlin alcuni oli essenziali come molti terpenoidi son molto irritanti e qualcuno anche cancerogeno a quanto pare.

non capisco cosa significhi quel riferimento all'oxandrolone...lo chiedo perche' anni fa un medico americano su una rivista scientifica diceva di curar con buoni risultati i suoi pazienti affetti da ipb(ipertrofia prostatica benigna)appunto con l'oxandrolone perche' in quanto derivato del dht aveva una struttura molecolare analoga a questo con il vantaggio di aver un legame piu' debole con i recettori degli androgeni nella prostata e di espletare un'attivita' non genomica diversa da quella del dht...rimasi un po' perplesso in quanto di androgeni si parlava sempre,ma forse in fondo c'era una certa logica,ragion per cui vedendo sopra la parola oxandrolone mi e' venuto il dubbio che fosse un riferimento al paragone con il potere inibitorio del d-limonene..forse allora lo standard di riferimento era l'oxandrolone,non so...peraltro non e' che le righe dello studio di sopra sian tutte ben chiare.marlin cosa pensi a tal proposito?

Witoster prova a fare un cerca su internet con la parola oxandrolone...ha degli effetti collaterali pazzeschi tra i quali addirittura la perdita di capelli. Non so per quale motivo sia citato in questo studio...

lo so perfettamente boldi dato che appartiene alla categoria degli androgeni..lo studio a cui facevo riferimento invece diceva che a livello prostatico competendo col dht per il recettore degli androgeni,preservava appunto la prostata in quanto tale legame era piu' debole,quindi se cio' fosse vero varrebbe anche per i capelli in linea teorica..in realta' io ci credo ben poco!!!
