According to the Cost study, PGD2-treated hair was significantly shortened, while PGD2's derivative, 15-dPGJ2, completely inhibited hair growth. What are some ways we can reduce 15-dPGJ2? In one study on mice (nothing to do with hairloss)showed that PGH2 is first converted to PGD2 by lipocalin-type PGD2 synthase (L-PGDS) or hematopoietic (H)-PGDS, which then undergoes sequential non-enzymatic dehydration reactions to form 15-deoxy-#916;12,14-PGJ2 (15d-PGJ2). The results showed that toxicity of 15d-PGJ2 to mOP cells is related to intracellular GSH levels. An increase in glutathione reduced the effect of 15d-PGJ2 in MOP cells.

Sì avevo visto questo passaggio. E' problematico perché mette in cattiva luce il glutatione che è sempre stato considerato utile anche per i capelli (lo resta sicuramente come antiossidante), tanto che ai tempi qualcuno lo usava in lozione.

Non è l'unica cosa che non quadra, perché la 15-delta-PGJ2 sarebbe anche un attivatore delle PPAR-gamma...(ma a breve formulerò un'ipotesi più completa su questo aspetto...)

Ci sono studi che dicono che la n_acetil cisteina , aiuti la produzione di glutatione

Essendo solo uno shampoo non so quanto possa essere d'aiuto però :S

Sia il Nac che il glutatione sono stati usati in lozione ai tempi, ma non si sa se il Nac topico possa portare direttamente al glutatione, certamente è di per sé un antiossidante e per questo può essere utile (nel Reglandin c'è, ad esempio) anche per mantenere il colore originario dei capelli.

Nello shampoo l'effetto è ovviamente più limitato.
